As within, so without. The struggles we face in our relationships, in our minds, and in our hearts are manifestations of a deeper battle: spiritual warfare.
This isn’t about fearmongering. It’s about naming what’s real. Whether people recognize it or not, there’s a pervasive battle happening in the unseen realms, where sorcery, deception, and illusions thrive. These forces exploit our doubts, fears, and insecurities, keeping us trapped in survival mode, disconnected from our higher selves and divine truth. The trickery is subtle, but its effects are profound: self-doubt, conflict, addiction, apathy, and a gnawing sense of purposelessness.
I’ve seen it in myself, and I’ve seen it in others—the way illusions can twist our perceptions, the way fear can masquerade as wisdom, and how distractions can keep us from the path of awakening. But here’s the truth: no matter how overwhelming the battle feels, there’s always a way through. The remedy lies within us, and it begins with three sacred tools: discernment, willingness, and commitment.
Discernment: Seeing Through the Illusions
Discernment is the ability to see clearly, to pierce through the illusions and recognize truth. In a world flooded with conflicting narratives and endless distractions, discernment is more crucial than ever. It’s about tuning in to your inner compass, listening to the voice of your soul, and distinguishing what serves your highest good from what seeks to pull you away.
But discernment isn’t automatic—it’s a skill we develop through practice, patience, and connection to Source. It’s why the teachings of Entheogenic Church emphasize practices that quiet the mind, open the heart, and attune the spirit. When you cultivate discernment, you become less susceptible to the tricks and traps of sorcery. You begin to see with clarity and act with wisdom.
Willingness: Opening the Door to Transformation

Without willingness, there’s no movement, no growth. It’s the sacred yes to the soul’s calling, even when it challenges everything you thought you knew.
I’ve learned that willingness isn’t about being fearless—it’s about being brave enough to act in spite of fear. It’s about trusting the process, even when the path is unclear. Commitment: Anchoring the Soul’s Journey
Commitment is the anchor. It’s what keeps you grounded in the face of doubt, distraction, and discomfort. Without commitment, the forces of trickery and sorcery find cracks to seep through, pulling us back into patterns of fear and illusion. Commitment is the practice of showing up again and again—whether that’s in meditation, prayer, ceremony, or acts of service.
Commitment also means aligning with your highest values and staying true to them, even when it’s hard. It’s the willingness to say, “This is my path, and I will walk it with integrity.” At the Church, we define mastery as living in alignment with practice, principles, and integrity. This mastery is built on the foundation of commitment—commitment to truth, to love, and to the evolution of the soul.

And with commitment, we can stay the course. These tools are not just remedies; they are the keys to reclaiming our sovereignty and breaking free from the grip of sorcery and illusion.
